Today is all about Winona, an important woman in Reagan's life. I'd say exactly who she is, but it's a spoiler if you haven't read the series or read past Chasing Memories, book 1. Suffice it to say, she comes into Reagan's life, and they form an instant bond. A bond that will affect the world and the battle of good versus evil.

Winona was raised in a cave and is super naive to the real world. But she has a heart of gold and will fight with everything she has. Her faith will give Reagan a much-needed source of strength.

Writing Cave : Writing and Planning

I'm still here!

Sorry if the blog has been silent for several days. I've been in my writing cave. 

Chasing Destiny went out to my beta readers this weekend. I can't wait to hear their comments and suggestions so I can get my baby revised and out to my readers. 

I have some fun projects planned for the remainder of the year. One--a collection of Utopia writers--I'll be talking about on Wednesday. Another is still a secret at this point, but I can tell you that the Fractured Glass ladies are writing again.

And, finally, my goal is to have the final Tala Prophecy book, Chasing Eternity, out by the end of the year.

Busy, busy, busy.

My Paper Dreams: Just Write Journal (beautifully put together by Utopians Regina Wamba and Victoria Faye) is seeing a lot of action. If you'd like one for yourself, check it out here.

Making the Lists : The Writing Life

Happy Friday!

I'm having tons of fun with the release of Chasing Forgiveness, and I've re-committed to finishing Chasing Destiny, Tala Prophecy Book 3. I've actually written 7,500 words in the last three days. I need to keep up this pace to finish the rough draft by my deadline.

Just yesterday, I sent an image to my awesome book cover designer for inspiration. I couldn't help myself. This story is pouring out of me. Note to my betas: How's May looking for some reading? 

So, I'm keeping this post short and sweet... gotta save my words for the novel.

But before I go, I wanted to share some great news from release day...

I actually hit as high as #33 in the top category, but I missed grabbing a screen shot. So far, each book has done better than the previous one on release day. I count that as a success.

The Best Assistant : The Writing Life

Happy Friday!

For my Tala Prophecy series, I've done quite a bit of research about werewolves, shapeshifters, Native American lore, and much more. 

Since I'm currently writing Chasing Destiny, Book 3, I needed to go back through the past two books. It's a great refresher, but I also wanted to make sure I tie up any loose ends.

My daughter, Jackie, is an avid reader. She's read three times the young adult books I have, so she's an excellent resource. Plus, she gets excited to go through the last book and help me outline the current one. Her ideas are amazing! Even better, she loves to do research.

So, today, I wanted to thank my hard-working assistant and amazing daughter, Jackie, for all her hard work.

I love that my daughter and I can bond over this and share a love of reading.
