28 Days of Coloring Fun

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Woohoo! I hope you're all ready to take part in something awesome in February. This one is hosted by my dear friend, Jo Michaels.

If everyone is like me, January has been all about hitting those 2017 goals, so take a little breather in February to de-stress, relax, and ... COLOR!
If you love coloring, and you have all these pictures to share, you'll enjoy this little challenge. You can use pictures you did before, ones you're doing just for this fun, or whatever, but here are the rules:

  • You must have colored the image (can be an app!).
  • You have to list the title of the coloring book or URL of the website where you got the image in the description of your post.
  • You gotta HAVE FUN!
  • Missing a day is fine. There aren't any rules about that. Just browse the awesome artworks of your fellow participants on those days.

Here's the list of photos/days:

1: Name or Word (clean) - This is for your name, the name of your pet, or whatever, as long as it's a clean word.
2: Mandala - Your favorite Mandala!
3: Insect - Anything other than butterflies, they have their own day.
4: Food - Nom, nom, nom!
5: Object - Any object.
6: Fantasy - Dragons, manticores, etc... No fantasy people (those are day 26).
7: Book Cover - The cover of your favorite coloring book.
8: Flora - All the pretty flowers!
9: Baby Animals - Seriously, show us the cute.
10: Harry Potter - For all you Potterheads out there.
11: Gardens - Mashup of flowers, trees, shrubs, etc...
12: WTF - Adult words
13: Paisley - This. Because they're pretty.
14: Butterflies - The most beautiful of bugs.
15: Owls - Only the wise ones! Kidding. All the owls, all the time.
16: Inspiring Words - Lift one another up!
17: Random Patterns - An oxymoron? You know what I mean here, right?
18: Elephants - I've seen some gorgeous ones.
19: Scenery - Landscapes, etc...
20: Ladies - All the pretty girls!
21: Cats - Meow.
22: Aquatics - Boats, fish, undersea scenes, etc...
23: Tattoos - Not the ones on skin.
24: Technology - Geometric shapes.
25: Quilts - We all love these patterns. Seriously.
26: Fantasy People - Mermaids, fairies, ogres, etc...
27: Dogs - Cats had their day. Now it's time for man's best friend!
28: Super Heroes! - Ya know?

Dark and Deadly Things by Kelly Martin New Release

I'm so excited to share Kelly Martin's new release with all of you. I loved this book ... for its voice, originality, creep factor, and pace. See my review at the bottom, but first, a little information...

Blessed (or cursed) with the ability to see ghosts, Elise was a fixture on her dad's reality ghost hunting show, Dark and Deadly Things, until she realized her father faked the evidence just to get ratings.

Now Elise is watching his Halloween special on live TV while eating popcorn next to her ghost of a mother.

Something goes horribly wrong...

Two members of the Halloween special's family are dead. One is missing and Elise's dad is the main suspect. Only Elise knows the truth. Only she saw what really happened to the family before the lights went out.

Elise joins the only surviving member of the murdered family, Abel, to find the thing that destroyed both of their families-- find it and destroy it.

How do you kill a ghost?

Easy, you take on one paranormal case at a time until you figure it out.

About the Author:

Kelly Martin is an Amazon bestseller and award-winning author. She loves abandoned house photography, ghost stories, and trying to figure out what goes bump in the night.

She lives in the heart of Middle Tennessee, where all the cool ghost stories happen.

Kelly loves supernatural TV shows, watching horror gamers on youtube, and driving around taking pictures of abandoned houses. All of which would make you assume Kelly is very brave... you'd be very wrong. She has to watch Sherlock safely behind her fingers at times.

She has been married for over ten years, has three little girls, and a one-eyed cat named Sam.

Are you fascinated by ghost shows on television? Wonder how much of it is true freakiness or behind-the-scenes shenanigans and faking?

Then, you will love Dark and Deadly Things

Elise is a young woman who grew up in a ghost-hunting family, but for her own reasons, she leaves the family business, although she can't leave behind seeing ghosts thanks to her gift, or curse.

Then, she watches on television as her father and the family he's ghost hunting for are attacked. Her father survives and becomes the number one suspect as the eldest brother seeks out Elise for help.

The journey from there is nothing short of fascinating and ultimately... so creepy. If you read this one at night, be sure to keep a flashlight close by. But beyond the captivating ghosts and edge-of-your-seat storytelling, you'll find yourself rooting for Elise and Abel to find not only answer but their way to each other.

By the end, you'll be clamoring for book 2. Good thing it comes out 2/26.

A highly recommended 5-star read!

Everything in Porschia Grant’s world was finally normal; the daily routine peppered with moments of happiness, sadness, and monotony. She longs for those moments now, because her entire world has been wrecked, and she didn’t even see it coming.

An evil escaped the underworld, killing someone she loves. It has to die, and she wants to be the one to end it.

But can Porschia live with herself if she takes on the curse she once hated? Will the consequences of her choice crush her?

How will she feel when someone from her past, someone she loved so deeply, enters her life again?
Tage has been guiding his son from the afterlife. He’s always been a part of Seth’s life, even if Porschia didn’t know the extent of his involvement. He’s watched over both of them from afar. Close, but never close enough.

Now they need him, and he’s about to risk everything to show her how much she still means to him.

For some, love never ends and frenzy is forever.

Keep reading for a sneak snippet of one very angry Porschia Grant ...

Surprise lifted her brows.

“I didn’t expect—”

I was in front of her in an instant, backhanding her to the side. She stumbled, grabbing her bleeding lip and staring at me with contempt.

“You didn’t expect me to do what? Protect my family? That was your first mistake.”
She scoffed.

“The second was underestimating me.”

Armor for Orchids by Diana Anderson-Tyler Release Blitz

Armor For Orchids
Diana Anderson-Tyler
January 9, 2017
Women's Fiction/Contemporary Fiction
Evatopia Press

Three small-town young women face big-time battles.

After suffering a heart-aching breakup, Marissa retreats into herself, over-exercising and depriving herself of food. When she takes on an acting role portraying a mysterious woman named Poppy, she realizes that to find joy again, she must fight for it.

Still reeling from the void left after her father died, Elise fills the space with short-lived thrills and flings, each leaving her lonelier than before. But when she meets Brady Bradshaw, the lead actor in a movie being filmed in her hometown of Bluebonnet, she finds herself drawn to something more than his charm and good looks.

The honeymoon phase ended long ago for Charlotte and her husband, who pays more attention to his phone and sports than to her. After meeting handsome, blue-eyed Wes, her imagination shifts from the fantasy world of her romance novels to reality. Will she strive to save her marriage, or will lust and apathy undermine what she knows is right?

Poppy McAdams calls these women the Orchids. Despite barely knowing them, this sage older woman assigns each a particular species of orchid, one that reveals what they struggle against and how to fight back victoriously. Her own life has been rife with hardship and heartache, but it serves the Orchids well as they learn to trust in God’s work.

A story of hope, inspiration, and life-changing belief
