I'll have to jump over and check out your interview.Tia Bachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18336780518125138789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1994548621354458694.post-79496222182383328232011-09-25T10:45:55.171-04:002011-09-25T10:45:55.171-04:00Thanks everyone - sorry it's taken me so long ...Thanks everyone - sorry it's taken me so long to come back here (I omitted to put the link on my blog - I'm normally so organised!). Coincidentally, I posted Alberta's interview today :) Anyway, yes absolutely go for it. It's the best discipline you could have and if you're like me and don't want to 'fail' (although every word you write is in itself a win) you'll just knuckle down and do it. Without it I'd be 50,000 words less at the end of the year... or 117,540 in the case of 2009. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1994548621354458694.post-11499386479410779312011-07-27T10:03:39.011-04:002011-07-27T10:03:39.011-04:00Alberta, You should go fot it. I'm working on a sequel right now, too, but have another story brewing. 50,000 words in 30 days is scary, but I love a challenge. Hope you do it! If I do, I know I'll need the encouragement (like ROW80 provides).Tia Bachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18336780518125138789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1994548621354458694.post-74047870275494973912011-07-26T05:37:14.810-04:002011-07-26T05:37:14.810-04:00having heard rumours of this event at the beginnin...having heard rumours of this event at the beginning of this year I nosed around and decided it sounded like fun so am going to have ago this november - WIP should by then be a printers (or hopefully on shelves) and before I get stuck into a sequel have an idea for something completly different I want to do - this sounds like the place to try it.alberta rosshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02132420168908365099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1994548621354458694.post-34879048257507439772011-07-22T16:16:06.751-04:002011-07-22T16:16:06.751-04:00Kate, I'm so inspired by your whole family joi...Kate, I'm so inspired by your whole family joining NaNoWriMo! We did it as part of our school. We spend October in planning out plot and characters and conflict and then we spend December and January editing.

I have one daughter who does some of their "minis": one month is script-frenzy, one month is a 25,000 novella. This has been a wonderful thing for our family and my girls all have at least 3 books on their shelves with THEIR OWN NAMES!

I'm more of a NaNoRebel...mine was non-fiction! ;-DKate @ Teaching What Is Goodhttp://teachingwhatisgood.comnoreply@blogger.com
