I hope my experience will help others with their self-promotion. And yes, absolutely, this is not just about books, but anything we do that requires us to put ourselves "out there."Lisa @ Intralingohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09449185089220919720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1994548621354458694.post-56241367861765835902011-05-17T22:07:49.358-04:002011-05-17T22:07:49.358-04:00What a well written, informative piece! I know a lot of women who are real estate agents, Pampered Chef consultants, Mary Kay reps, Arbonne reps, Silpada jewelry reps, and the list goes on and on. It's hard to sell yourself, but it's necessary and can mean a lot to your success.Tia Bachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18336780518125138789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1994548621354458694.post-38311951355960001212011-05-17T20:44:13.767-04:002011-05-17T20:44:13.767-04:00Nice advice and you covered a lot of area. But, consumers can smell an ego a mile away so best to tread carefully in the world of self-promotion as you so wisely advise.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1994548621354458694.post-32251006973668082992011-05-17T14:50:59.580-04:002011-05-17T14:50:59.580-04:00Tracy -- Thanks! I know a lot of us are socialized that it isn't "nice" to toot our own horns, so it's hard work to get to a place where we can put ourselves out there. <br />The good news is that it does get easier each time.Tracy O'Connorhttp://www.ihatemymessageboard.comnoreply@blogger.com
