It was hard to digest.

Barbara, thanks for sharing your story. What a harrowing day, but glad your sister was okay.

9/11 sure made us all cling to our loved ones.Tia Bachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18336780518125138789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1994548621354458694.post-27814529534967234842011-09-12T09:54:05.287-04:002011-09-12T09:54:05.287-04:00I also relate to the War of the Worlds description...I also relate to the War of the Worlds description. I a...War of the Worlds is such a great description! I also lived the early parts of that day via what I heard and the radio reports. I was at work and the lady next to me just happened to be talking to someone in NYC. She spoke out loud relaying the strangeness of the first plane hitting (we thought it was a traffic reporting plane), then the horror of the second. It was then I started making calls to find my sister who was there. We had to evacuate as hijacked flight 93 moved into our airspace. I spent hours stuck in traffic with just the radio. When I did get home, I saw the replay of the second plane hitting and the towers falling. I also was able to find my sister safe, though stranded in NJ.Barbara McDowellhttp://www.writenowlife.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1994548621354458694.post-89979685438277798262011-09-11T15:51:09.774-04:002011-09-11T15:51:09.774-04:00Ginnie, your comment is a great reminder that this...Ginnie, your comment is a great reminder that this was a world sadness, not just an American one.
